I have discovered why I like the films that I do.

Sure, its the subject matter, to a certain extent, but this totally explains why I can say with a straight face that Fight Club and Blade Runner are perhaps the best movies of all time.

And its all a matter of labels.

I'm addicted to neo-noir.

Really, reading the article says it all, but it really was a big, 'Woah!' when I looked at the list of neo-noir and realized exactly how many of the films I really, really liked. I thought it was thr grit, the dark tone, the dystopian viewpoint.

Apparently, all that has a name.

Even better, they offer college courses in this stuff!

SO. I propositioned a complete Stranger with the chance of becoming a pteradactyl, because pteradactyls always find silver linings, because... they're pteradactyls!

So. What if we all became pteradactyls, like a Guild!

Our mission would be to find good books, report the bad ones, and always provide the rest of the world with silver linings, so they never again have to throw bitchfits just to contrast normalacy again.
